National Relief Network is a coalition of various organizations and disaster relief agencies combining resources, experience and expertise to: promote corporate volunteerism, provide an avenue for volunteers of any organization to take part in large coordinated disaster relief efforts bring much needed physical aid to victims of natural disaster, lift the spirits of devastated families at a time when they are not only struggling to rebuild their homes, but they are also struggling against depression.
Volunteers at St. Parish: A non-profit disaster relief organization is looking for idealistic, open-minded people of all ages to help feed, cloth, and shelter gulf coast hurricane Katrina and Rita survivors. Volunteers are needed to set-up and sustain a grassroots community-building effort located just outside New Orleans' Ninth Ward in St. Bernard's Parish. Our volunteers have come from all over the United States to live in our intentional, democratic community and help our neighbors recover from the devastation of natural disaster. Come for a day, or stay for months. Any skills you have will be utilized.
