As Campus Compact completed its 20th year, a two-day event in Chicago provided a venue for member presidents, community service directors, students, community partners, and others to chart a course for the work of Campus Compact as it enters its third decade.

Worldcom Grant - Making a Civic Investment Project
This nationwide program represented a five-year, $5 million effort funded by WorldCom that linked schools and community based organizations with a wide range of local colleges and universities to implement educational technology projects for children in grades K-12.
General Electric Partnership
General Electric Fund awarded Campus Compact $600,000 to develop a model community service partnership and to disseminate sub-grants aimed at enhancing reading skills and healthy lifestyles among at-risk youth.
